Lightspeed K Series to Loyale Setup
What it does
This integration receives all lightspeed transactions and passes them through your lightspeed business location integration. Upon receiving the order, the integration settings representing the specific business location is retrieved to pass the transaction into loyale. The transaction is sent to Loyale including the total amount spent and the points used for handling and adjusting of loyalty points.
If an error occurs while sending the order to loyale an email will be sent to the email addresses entered within the settings.
Potential errors that might occur include:
- Customer not found.
- Insufficient balance.
- This can occur when a receipt is recalled or when the employee redeems the points more than once
- No Sale total (warning email)
- This should only happen when a meal is compensated or the receipt is voided
- Loyale token invalid
- This happens when the data entered within loyale authorisation is incorrect
Some limitations:
- Over redemptions due to:
- Employee redeeming loyalty points more than once
- Employee redeems all points without closing the cash and the same account is used somewhere else before redeeming
- Voiding of receipts does not make changes to the customers account, including returning loyalty points used to the customer and reverting the points added to the customers account. (Handled by loyale)
- Recalling of receipt (can be done only after voiding)
- will not reduce the points from the customer's account if the balance is less than the amount used and
- will add point for the amount paid to the customer's account (Handled by loyale)
Handles to not redeem over the available amount:
- Limit points to be used with the maximum of available points
- Limit the points to the sale total
What you will need

- Outlet ID
Steps to create and activate the integration
- Find the integration
- Connect to lightspeed K Series
- Fill in the loyale details
- Fill in the fields in ilglu
- Add the web extension to your lightspeed menu
1. Find the integration
- Login to ilglu (https://www.ilglu.com/login)
- After logging in you will be redirected to the dashboard (https://www.ilglu.com/dashboard)
Find the Lightspeed Restaurant K Series to Loyale integration and press on 'Go to Glu'
To create a new integration press on 'Add New' at the top right
- Now you are within the new integration settings page
2. Connect to lightspeed K Series

3. Fill in the loyale details
- Input your loyale email in the Email/Username field
- Input your loyale password in the Password field
- Input your loyale scheme in the Scheme field
- Input your loyale franchise id in the Franchise ID field
- Input your loyale outlet id in the Outlet ID field
4. Fill in the fields in ilglu
- Fill in the integration form as follows:
- Integration Name: any name used to refer to your integration
- Discount Item Id (Interactive Negative Item): enter the lightspeed item id to be used for varying negative item
- Item Description Text: enter the text you want to show on the receipt to represent the loyalty points used
- Payment Method: payment method to be used when sending the order to lightspeed
- Send Email Notifications to (comma separated) (optional): enter emails to receive email notifications in case of invalid sku, lightspeed printing error, lightspeed connection error.
Press the 'Save' button to save the integration
To active the integration press the 'Enable' button, select the subscription you prefer and press 'Add to my plan' to start the subscription and the integration
4. Add the web extension to your lightspeed menu
- Copy the web extension link provided at the bottom of the web extension
- Go to your lightspeed account
- From the side menu go to Configuration > Settings > Web extensions
- Press the "Add a new web extension" button
- Enter a name to be shown with the button
- Paste the web extension link copied from your ilglu settings
- Tick the "Provide a JavaScript context to the loaded page" option
- Press on Save
- From the side menu go to Menu Management > Menus
- Select your menu and go to the main screen to place the additional button
- Press on Add button and choose the web extension and select the web extension added
- Reload the ipads and you will be able to see the button added within your lightspeed iPad
